Willie Wade

Graveside services for Mrs. Willie Christine Wade will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Dublin Cemetery.  Mrs. Wade, age 71, passed away late Monday night, January 22, 2024, at the Azalea Gardens Nursing Center in Wiggins.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Willie Christine Wade was born on October 14, 1952 in Prentiss, MS to Jasper Dan and Ruth Irene Jones Odom.  A homemaker, she was raised in the Greens Creek community and attended school at Bassfield.  Willie had several past times that she enjoyed which included drawing and art, puzzles and playing video games with her grandson.  Her daughter remarks that she was also an excellent cook and took pride in passing the recipe for Blueberry Cake down through the family.  Mrs. Wade was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, William David Bush, Edward Lynn Wade; her brother, James Daniel Odom and her sisters, Merle Pisarski, Julia Lee Odom and Peggy Jo Pierce.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Verria White of Poplarville, Latasha Robbins of Seminary; her brothers, Bobby Earl Odom of Carson, Roger Dale Odom of Silver Creek; 6 grandchildren, Carlos Floyd, Christina Hartzog, Elizabeth Logan, Jeffrey White, Jessica Briggs and Austin Robbins and 9 great grandchildren.
