William "Big Shot" Stephens

Graveside services for Mr. William “Big Shot” Stephens will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Society Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Stephens, age 66, passed away from this life on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center in Metairie, LA. Reverend Mark McArthur and Reverend Lynn Stephens will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be, Kyle Stephens, Eric Stephens, Jarrett Stephens, Dr. Darren Higgs, Brian Dyess and Dr. Jacob Cook. Honorary bearers will be, Terry Hamilton and John Wayne Tolar. William “Big Shot” Stephens was born on January 31, 1954 in Columbia to Shelby Lee Stephens and Vonc Dyess Stephens. Mr. Stephens was a Senior Account Manager and Staff Development Director with Special Education Programs of the Southeast. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Mr. Stephens is survived by 2 brothers, Reverend Lynn Stephens (Mary) of Fleetwood, NC and Glynn Stephens (Cheryl) of Bosier City, LA; 4 nephews, Kyle Stephens, Eric Stephens, Jarrett Stephens and Darren Higgs; 2 nieces, Michelle Taylor (Ryan) and Natasha Poe (Brandon); 8 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
