Funeral services for Mr. William “Billy” Daughdrill will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Matt Robinson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Old Silver Creek Cemetery.  Mr. Daughdrill, age 81, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord late Tuesday evening, May 14, 2024, at his home in Silver Creek.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM until the hour of service at 3:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Cody Turner, Cade Turner, Eric Fortenberry, Jerry Havis, Trevor Havis, Trey Graves and Ty Graves.

William E. Daughdrill was born June 23, 1942 in Tylertown, Mississippi to William Hezekiah and Olivia Estella Stephens Daughdrill. He was a graduate of New Hebron High School.  Mr. Daughdrill dedicated nearly 40 years of service to Georgia Pacific, retiring as a Scalesman in the Shipping and Receiving Department. His commitment and work ethic left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Daughdrill always be remembered for his love of working on his farm, where he took pride in raising exceptional Walking Horses and cattle.   For many years he was a member of the Old Silver Creek Baptist Church, and of late, Hepzibah Baptist Church. 
 
Mr. Daughdrill is preceded in death by his parents, Willliam Hezekiah “Hezzie” and Olivia Estella Stephens Daughdrill, his first wife and mother of his children, Janice L. Daughdrill and his sister, Vermell Mahaffey.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Dianne Acy Daughdrill of Silver Creek; his daughters, Melissa (Ernie) Fortenberry, Tina (Darrell) Turner, both of Silver Creek; his grandchildren, Eric (Dedra) Fortenberry, Brittany (Ben) Jones, Cody (Hailey) Turner, Cade (Kala) Turner and 11 great-grandchildren.
