Funeral Mass for William Albert Clark, Sr. will be Monday September 30, 2019 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. Father Mark will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Mancuso, Peyton Johnson, Paul Kahoe, Jeff Kahoe, Landon Kahoe and Mikell Miles. Saulters Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements. William A. “Billy” Clark, age 92 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 25th 2019 at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, La. He was born January 11th, 1927 in Bassfield, MS where he spent his childhood and young adult life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army 78th Infantry Division during World War II in Europe. He married Minnie Evelyn Cox of Madison, N.C. and eventually settled in Metairie, LA where they raised four children. Billy retired from the Pellerin Milnor Corporation, Kenner, LA in 1989. He was a member of St Edward The Confessor Catholic Church in Metairie, LA. He was the son of the late William Reed and Katie Clark. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn, brothers Edwin Clark and Seymour Clark, and sisters Bess Terrell, Margie Hurst, Thelma Munday, & Jenny Brien, and grandson, Tony Mancuso. He is survived by daughters Peggy Kahoe & Cecilia Johnson (William); sons, William A. “Bert” Clark Jr & Daniel Forrest Clark (Susan); grandchildren, Paul (Kim), Jeffrey, Kristen (Jimmy), Jennifer (Jacob), Jason (Michelle), Peyton, Mallory, and Natalie; great Grandchildren, Hannah, Aubrey, Brianna, Brayden, Lyric, Landon, Isaiah, Mikel, Jayshaun, Makenzie, Anthony, & Joey, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and acquaintances. Billy enjoyed telling stories, watching old westerns and football, his vegetable garden, oysters, country music, and large family gatherings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
