Graveside services with military honors and Masonic rites for Mr. Wiley Overstreet will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Carson Cemetery in Carson, MS. Mr. Overstreet, age 78, departed from this life to live eternally with his Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home in Prentiss. Reverend Roland McMillan will officiate. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Serving as Pallbearers are Josh Daley, Cody Daley, Lance Kirby, Michael Cothern, Kevin Goff and Tyler Overstreet. Mr. Overstreet was born on December 14, 1942 in Jackson county, MS to William Elsworth and Mary Havens Overstreet. Wiley loved his country and was very patriotic, having proudly served in the United States Navy. Having a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed his garden, spending time on his tractor bush-hogging, and fishing. Wiley was an avid NASCAR fan; in his younger years he raced cars at the old Race Track in Carson. Besides being a dedicated Mason, another of his great passions was Ole Miss sports. Mr. Overstreet was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave, MS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bryant Elsworth Overstreet; his sister, Brenda Ferrier; a brother, Stacy Hatton and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Overstreet. Wiley will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Overstreet of Prentiss; 2 daughters, Pamela Pittman (Dewayne) of Bentonia, MS and Paula Speights (Doug) of Sumrall, MS; 2 step-sons, Teddy Daley (Susan) and Jimmy Daley (Robin), both of Prentiss, MS; and 1 step-daughter, Angela Daisy (Malcolm) of Morgan City, LA; 1 Sister, Edith Goff of Vancleave, MS and 2 brothers, Norman Overstreet of Vancleave, MS and Paul Overstreet of Pegram, TN.
