Webb Bridges

Funeral Services for Mr. Webb Bridges will be held Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Whitesand Baptist Church. Mr. Bridges passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, MS.  Reverend Billy Bridges, Reverend Gene Douglas and Mr. Dean Banks will officiate.  Interment will be in Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss.   Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Pallbearers will be; Ronnie Ramshur, C. A. Smith, JoJo Bridges, Zachary Bridges, Drew Evans and Blake Evans.   Webb Bridges was born September 22, 1926 in Jefferson Davis County, MS to Frank Bridges and Anna Fortenberry Bridges.  He was married to Hilda Mae Douglas Bridges for 68 years.  He was in the U. S. Army and he worked as a millwright in the steel industry. He was a member of the Prentiss Masonic Lodge and Whitesand Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife, Hilda Mae Douglas Bridges; one son, Jimmy Ray Bridges; one daughter, Judy Cliburn; one granddaughter, Marilyn Banks and one grandson, Yancy Cliburn.   Mr. Bridges is survived by; his son, Joe Don (Tommye) Bridges of Pearl; three daughters, Joan (James) Self of Pearl, Janet Benton of Prentiss and Jennifer Banks of New Hebron; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Bridges of Prentiss and one sister, Evelyn Whitehead of New Hebron.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Saulters Funeral Home.   Online condolences and a guest registry are available at www.saultersmoorefuneralhome.com.
