Sabra Holmes

Graveside services for Mrs. Sabra Holmes will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Simpson County. Mrs. Holmes, age 98, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at her residence in Florence, MS. The Reverend Flavol Rester will officiate. Mrs. Holmes was born on March 21, 1924, in Harrison County, MS to Thomas Jefferson Buckley and Florence May Burkett Buckley. Mrs. Holmes was a seamstress in the clothing manufacturing industry for New Hebron Manufacturing for 11 years and for Edward Hyman in Prentiss. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. J. Holmes; her parents and 2 sisters. Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Margarett Holmes of Florence, MS; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Bridges and Jason Bridges; and 1 great-grandchild, Kinsley Bridges.
