Rosemary A. Spiers

Graveside services for Rosemary Spiers will be conducted at 11:00 Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Hathorn Cemetery with the Reverend Ken Hickman officiating.  Mrs. Spiers, age 96, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord early Saturday morning, January 27, 2024, at the Jefferson David Extended Care Facility.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Family and friends will gather at Hathorn Cemetery at 10:30 AM Tuesday for the graveside service.

Rosemary J. Spiers was born on June 16, 1927 in Jefferson Davis County to Robert W. and Bergie Speights Honeycutt.  Ms. Spiers attended Carson School and later attended Pearl River Community College, majoring in Nursing. Ms. Spiers was a Registered Nurse for many years with Forrest General Home Health.  She enjoyed jogging and participated several times in the Run For The Roses.  After retirement, she spent her days taking care of her many animals and a variety of livestock.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Spiers is preceded in death by her husband, Larue Spiers; five brothers, Conrad Conn, Ferrell Conn, Gary Conn, Chester Conn, Darrow Honeycutt and one sister, Betty Conn Deren.

Ms. Spiers is survived by one son, Darrow Daspit Fagan; three grandsons, Darrow Fagan, John Fagan, Belton Fagan and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Misty, Karrie and Colin.
