Richard Keith "Ricky" Smith

Graveside services for Mr. Richard Keith "Ricky" Smith will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 13. 2024, at Prentiss Cemetery with the Reverend Billy Bridges officiating. Mr. Smith, age 69, passed away late Saturday evening, November 9, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the graveside service, beginning at 10:00 AM, Wednesday morning at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Ricky was born on June 14, 1955 in Jefferson Davis County to John Berry and Amanda  Ruth Miller Smith. A graduate of Prentiss High School, Ricky was also a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked for over 25 years on Off Shore Oil Rigs. Ricky had several interests and hobbies in life, but his children and grandchildren were his greatest passions. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, John Berry and Ruth Miller Smith; a step-son, Austin Houck and his half-brother, Barry Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Houck of Hurst, TX; sons, Chris Smith (Lacy) of Sumrall, Joshua Smith of Lone Star; step-daughter, Amanda McDuff of Fort Worth, TX; his sister, Angela Argyle of Madison; his half-brothers, Dent Mikell of Prentiss, Joey Smith of Sumrall; his grandchildren, Shay Smith, Tanner Smith and Easton Smith, and a step-grandson, Dylan Alsup.
