Renee Stubbs Harrington was born on September 13, 1958, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Lee Edward and Agnes Theresa Thompson Stubbs. Renee grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School there.  She would go on to marry the love of her life, David L. Harrington, and the happy couple would settle in Tupelo and raise 3 beautiful daughters. Renee was an activities director at the North Mississippi Medical Center Behavioral Center in Tupelo for many years. As a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo, she also actively participated as a youth leader, guiding and inspiring young individuals. After retirement, she and David moved back to Jefferson Davis County. Post-retirement, she transitioned to a position at Wal-Mart in Hattiesburg, where her kind heart and friendly nature endeared her to both customers and coworkers. Renee’s ability to quickly make friends was a testament to her genuine personality. Upon returning back to Mississippi with her husband, she and David became devoted parishioners of St. Peter Catholic Church in Bassfield.

Renee had several talents, including a remarkable knack for decorating. She also liked to fish with her family. They jokingly quip that despite her sometimes catching the biggest fish, she humorously avoided removing them or baiting her own hook. Renee was also passionate about her role as a grandmother, with her grandchildren being her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, Renee is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, David L. Harrington.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly; her daughters, Leigh Ann Harrington of Little Rock, AR, Mary Kyla Harrington of Batesville, MS, Haley Renee Harrington also of Little Rock, AR; her sister, Lisa Filbin (Jeff) of Montgomery, TX; her brother, Joe Stubbs (Brenda) of Wimberley, TX;  her sister-in-law, Mary (Billy) Coulter of Bassfield; her brothers-in-law Cahill (Patricia) Harrington of Bassfield, Kenneth (Joyce) Harrington of Bridgeport, TX and Charlie (Jan) Harrington of Bassfield. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, McKenzie Crowell, Holden Crowell and Colby Hall.
