A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Perry Andrew Barrett at 11:00 AM Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bassfield. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery in Bassfield. Mr. Perry Andew Barrett, age 37, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Perry County, MS. He was born on August 17, 1984, in Hattiesburg, MS to Hayward and Dorothy Skinner Barrett. Perry was a carpenter for most of his life and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bassfield. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Dorothy "Tootsie" Barrett. His memory will forever be cherished by his son, Perry Andrew "PJ" Barrett, Jr. of Baxterville; 4 brothers, Norbert Barrett (Misty) of Purvis, Robert Eric Barrett of Prentiss, Jason Barrett, (Jennifer) of Destin, FL, Charles Barrett of Bassfield and also the mother of his son, Susie Young of Lumberton. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 5, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at St. Peter's Parish Hall.
