Home Going services for Mr. Paul Stanley of Brandon, MS, will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the First Pentecostal Church, 5000 I-55 South, Jackson, MS. The Family will conduct a private graveside service for Paul’s final resting place at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Campground Cemetery in Louisville, MS. The Stanley family will receive guests Wednesday, December 21, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM until the hour of service at 7:00 PM at First Pentecostal Church, Jackson, MS. Serving as Pallbearers are Drew Stanley, Austin Stanley, Tanner Gray, David McCall, Brandon McCall, Waymon Thornton, Barry Moody and Randy Gainey. Honorary Pallbearers are Devon Sistrunk , Fred Alford, Robert Cobb, Billy Mitchell, Dr. Daniel Venarske, Howard Young, Howard Thornton, Garvin Massingil, Gary Bailey, Dorman Pinter and Hollis Putnam. Mr. Stanley, age 77, gently entered into the eternal rest of his Lord Monday morning, December 19, 2022, from the beautiful home he built surrounded by his caring family he treasured. Paul was born on October 26, 1945 in Noxapater, Mississippi to his parents, Harvey and Effie Stanley. Paul and his wife, Peggy were 5 days away from celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary. Paul was an extremely hard worker and was employed at Sperry-Vickers for over 40 years, where he received many accolades and recognition before retiring. Aside from his love of hunting, Paul’s hobbies included coin collecting and working on anything with an engine as well as mastering the art of bartering; however, some his greatest joys were teaching Bible Studies, giving to others without recognition and napping in his recliner with Sweetheart. Paul was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church, Jackson for 57 years, served as an usher and trustee for over 25 years and was involved faithfully in bus ministry, being the captain of bus #13, aka “The Circus.” Along with his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers; Everett and Jimmy Stanley; sisters; Mavis Miley and Maxine Hisaw. Family survivor’s include his wife Peggy Stanley, son, Reverend Hansel Stanley (Teresa), daughter, Angie Gray (Michael), Joe Pitts (Linda), Brenda McCall (David) and brother Grady Stanley. Grandchildren: Drew Stanley (Amanda), Austin Stanley (Brooke), Tanner Gray, Brooklyn Gray, Dane Pitts, Danya Stuart, (Jonathan), Bridgette Law, (Lok), Datha Hammonds, (Jathan) and Brandon McCall. Great-grandchildren: Oliver Stanley, Jeff Pitts, Sabre Stuart, Kai and Kaden Law. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
