Ashley Graves

Funeral services for Paul Ashley Graves will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church in Bassfield with interment in Bethel Cemetery. The Reverend Darren Webb will officiate.  Mr. Graves, age 46, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home in Bassfield.

The Graves family will receive friends Wednesday evening  from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and also Thursday morning, beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church.

Serving as Pallbearers are Leffie L. Graves, III, Glenn Graves, Anthony McNeese, Sonny Dyess, Adam Terrell and Chad Viniard.  Ray Davis will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.  

Paul Ashley Graves was born on November 25, 1976 to Paul Edward Graves and Valerie Geneva Dyess Graves.  Ashley worked most of his life on Offshore Oil Rigs and was also skilled in electrical work.  His mother remarks that he was a great mechanic and could "tear anything up and put it back together"; he especially enjoyed working on 4-wheelers.  Ashley was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Graves.

Ashley is survived by his wife, Avery Graves; his son, Saul Zanthony Graves; his step-father and mother, Leffie, Jr. "Red" and Geneva Graves; his step-brother, Leffie L. Graves, III; 2 step-sisters, Kimberly McNeese and Bethany Terrell.
