Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Patsy Roberts Dyess at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Saulters Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Dyess, 80, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, in Ridgeland, MS. Reverend Ron Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Landmark Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Brandon Massey, Matt Dyess, Gene Lee, William Lee, Charles Ratcliff and Dale Dyess. Saulters Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dyess was born March 14, 1938, in Jefferson Davis County to the late Alberta Higgins Roberts and Eugene Roberts. After graduating Clem High School in 1956, she married the love of her life, Leroy Dyess, April 11, 1957. They were married 41 years until his death in June of 1998. Patsy worked with the telephone company and then spent her career with Engineering Service Mercury Maps until she retired in 2003. For as long as she was able, Patsy was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and a faithful servant that always sought to meet the needs of those around her. She will be remembered as a person of kindness, wisdom, generosity and grace; always encouraging and a person who found peace and contentment in all circumstances. Those who knew her best, honor her as a loving, nurturing, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Lee Dyess; great grandson, Jacob Dyess; brother, Billy Roberts and sister, Sybil Hatton. She is survived by her daughter, Traci (Rory) Massey of Pearl and sister, Juanita Lee of New Hebron; five grandchildren, Matt (Katie) Dyess, Amber (Mike) Domanick, Ryan (Karly) Dyess, Brandon Massey and Brooklyn Massey; nine great grandchildren and a very dear group of nieces and nephews. Patsy’s daughter, Traci wishes to express the family’s sincerest thanks to all the friends, family and Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland for the precious prayers, calls, flowers, sweet cards and visits. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM before the service at Saulters Funeral Home.
