Graveside services for Mrs. Nollie Butler will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Phalti Cemetery. Mrs. Butler, age 90, passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at her residence in Clem. Reverend Wade Mathis and Reverend Billy Bridges will officiate and Erin Sanders will give a musical tribute. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Nollie Catherine Aultman Butler was born on August 4, 1929 in Covington County to Winnie Aultman and Eva McRaney Aultman. Mrs. Butler worked for the Jefferson Davis County Extension Office before retiring. She had formerly worked in garment manufacturing, at KLH Industries, and the Boswell Center. Mrs. Butler loved both vegetable and flower gardening. She was an active member of Phalti Baptist Church, where she served on various committees. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 2 sons, Jimmy Wayne Mathis and Alton Ray Mathis; 1 grandson, Reggie Butler; and 3 brothers, Edward Aultman, Lawrence Aultman, and Boyd Aultman. Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vernon Butler of Clem; 4 daughters, Kathy Lytle (Dennis) of Lone Star, Doris Temple (Billy) of Columbia, Theresa Halbert (Charles) of Clem, and Nollie “Tera” Butler of Clem; 1 son, Terry Mathis (Sherry) of Clem; 14 grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; a host of great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, David Aultman (Liz) of Sumrall and Dennis Aultman (Arlene) of Oloh; 1 sister, Bobbie Strohaker (Larry ) of Rockford, IL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
