Graveside services for Mrs. Mildred B. Lee will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, June 17, 2022, at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss. Mrs. Lee, age 91, passed away late Tuesday night, June 14, 2022, at her daughter's residence in Terry, MS. The Reverend Paul Ford will officiate. Mildred B. Lee was born on February 24, 1931, in Franklin County, MS to Charlie and Olivia Wilson Bowman. Mrs. Lee, formerly of the Prentiss area, was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her husband, the late Charles E. Lee, Sr. and raising her 3 children. Her children fondly recall her preparing 3 meals a day for their father and themselves; Mrs. Lee will especially be remembered for her chicken and dumplings and chocolate pies. In addition, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and Word Find Puzzles. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Byram and also a former member of Midway Baptist Church in Jackson, where she had made her home for many years. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Lee, Sr., who passed away in 2010; a daughter, Barbara Bagwell, who passed away in 2006; her parents, Charlie and Olivia Bowman, 6 brothers, Cleon Bowman, Conley Bowman, Charles Edward Bowman, Lonzo Bowman, Willie Bowman, Kenneth Bowman and 2 sisters, Aileen Goldman and Ruby Prather. Her memory will forever be cherished by her son, Chuck Lee (Lilli) of Crystal Springs, MS; 2 daughters, Lynette Martin of Seekonk, MA and Diann Fitzhugh (Danny) of Terry, MS; 1 sister, Nell Martin of Pearl, MS. The legacy of their Granny will also live on through her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers are Christopher Bagwell, Matthew Fitzhugh, Jordan Lee, Jeremy Lee, Jonathan Fitzhugh and Brock Lewis. Family and friends will gather Friday morning from 9:00 until 9:45 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home before going in procession to the cemetery.
