Graveside services for Marylen Butler will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday morning, September 8, 2021, at Drummonds Cemetery in New Hebron, MS. Mrs. Butler, age 68, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS. Reverend Jay Thompson will officiate. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Marylen was born April 25, 1953 in Monticello, MS to Eugene and Dorothy Hemphill Letchworth. She was a retired factory worker in the garment manufacturing industry. Marylen loved spending time with her family very much. She also enjoyed playing 'Yahtzee' as well as Bingo. In addition, Marylen also loved to fish and watch Wrestling on television. She was a member of New Life Church in Monticello. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Tommy Gene Letchworth and Michael Letchworth along with 1 sister, Sheila Bardwell. She is survived by her husband, Carol Butler of Silver Creek, MS; 2 sons, Timothy Butler (Lynn) of Bogue Chitto, MS and Kevin Butler (Jolynne) of Brookhaven, MS; 2 sisters, Diane Gibson and Jeanne Alford, both of Monticello, MS. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saulters Moore Funeral Home .
