Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Holyfield will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 5, 2021, in the New Hebron Cemetery. Mrs. Holyfield passed away from this life on Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Amory. Brother Dennis Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Self, Eddie Little, Henry Little, Tom Hurley, Johnny Palmer, Don Everett Smith and Bill Waldon. Mary Elizabeth Quinn Holyfield was born in Camden on October 26, 1944, to Dee and Betty Berry Quinn. Mrs. Holyfield was a graduate of Silver Creek High School and Mississippi College. She was a school teacher for over 30 years, having taught at Natchez, Silver Creek, Monticello, and 20 of those years in the Corinth School System. Mrs. Holyfield was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Shakespeare Club and Kappa Kappa Iota. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Corinth and enjoyed history, traveling and being with family and friends. Mrs. Holyfield was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Holyfield; and brothers, Tommy and Harold Quinn. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service. Mrs. Holyfield is survived by her son, William Holyfield (Nina); daughter, Jo Beth Alford (Tim); grandchildren, Peyton and Landon Holyfield and Lauren and Emily Alford and a brother, Don Quinn; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
