Margie Hall Butler

Funeral Services for Margie Hall Butler will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Phalti Baptist Church. Mrs. Butler passed away from this life on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at her residence near Mt. Olive. Reverend Billy Bridges will officiate and interment will be in the Phalti Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Slack, Trever Slack, Tom Hall, Tim Hall, Greg Sykes and J. R. Armour. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Margie Mae Hall Butler was born December 24, 1932 in Mt. Olive to Luther Virgil Hall and Onnie Myrtis Tuggle Hall. Mrs. Butler was a retired seamstress and assembly worker, having worked long term for both NECO and KLH. She was a member of Phalti Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 2 sisters, Lexie Sullivan and Topsie Sykes; and 4 brothers, John William Hall, Zollie Hall, Jewitt Hall, and Don Hall.   Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ethel Ray Butler of Mt. Olive; 2 daughters, Brenda Slack (Bill) of Kathleen, GA, and Mary Welch (Darrell) of Magee; 3 grandchildren, Trever Slack, Jared Slack, and Danielle Darden; 2 great-grandchildren, Bryant Slack and Samuel Slack; and 1 sister, Patricia Hardin (Jimmy) of Florence; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saulters Funeral Home.
