Graveside services for Mr. Jimmie McMorris, Sr., will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the McMorris Family Cemetery. Mr. McMorris was 82 years of age and passed away from this life on Monday, July 13, 2020 at his daughter's residence in Pearl. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jimmie Dale McMorris, Sr., was born on April 9, 1938 in Utica to Henry Hollis McMorris and Carrie Lucille Hutson McMorris. Mr. McMorris was retired from the United States Navy, where he served with distinction in the Vietnam Conflict. Preceding Mr. McMorris in death were his mother and father; his former wife, Margie McMorris; and two brothers and one sister. Mr. McMorris is survived by his three daughters; Rebecca McMorris of Pearl, Jennifer Ables (Phil) of Brandon and Wende Parker (Tony) of Acworth, GA; two sons, Thomas McMorris (Christine) of Tulsa, OK, and Jimmie McMorris, Jr. (Karen) of Brandon; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Saulters Funeral Home. All visitors are asked to wear a mask, follow social distancing guidelines, and adhere to the limitation of visitors inside the funeral home as required by the Mississippi Department of Health.
