Funeral services for Mrs Linda Coulter Moore will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2022 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Whitesand Cemetery in New Hebron. The Reverend Angela Frearson McFadden will officiate. Linda passed away Thursday evening, January 26, 2023, in Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, beginning at 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers are Josh Lee, Chuck Butler, Dennis Saulters, Doyle Coulter, Paul Hanberry and Edmund W. Moore, IV.
Linda most recently served as the Youth Services Coordinator at the Wythe County Library. She attended Webster University School of Musical Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. After attending Webster University, she moved to New York City and landed her first roles with Seaside Music Theatre in Daytona Beach, Florida. She had parts in Evita, Anything Goes, A Christmas Carol, The Merry Widow, The Emperor’s New Clothes, and a leading role as Shelby in Steele Magnolias. After, she moved to Nashville and had several roles at the Cumberland County Playhouse culminating with the lead role of Ariel in Shakespeare’s the Tempest. She went on to work at the Tennessee Repertory Theatre in Wardrobe and Costumes. Afterwards, started Encore Theatric Costume Shop in Nashville with her mother Maggie. They closed their business after the tragedy of 9/11 to work for Animax Designs in Nashville. She also served as the Costume Shop Manager at the Nashville Ballet for 5 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Gladys Coulter; her paternal grandfather, Wayne "Pawpaw" Coulter; her maternal grandmother, Helene Bajko Wilkerson and her maternal grandfather, Fred F. Wilkerson.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband Edmund W. (Buddy) Moore III of Independence, VA; her mother, Magdalena "Maggie" Wilkerson of Wytheville, VA; her father, Larry Coulter of New Hebron, MS;her brother David Coulter of New Hebron, MS, a half-brother, Justin Coulter; a half-sister, Kristen Coulter Cooper and her niece and great-nephew, Rachel Coulter and Jeremiah Coulter both of Mendenhall, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of the Wythe County Library in memory of Linda Coulter Moore. Donations will support children’s activities at the Wythe County Library.
