Leroy "Bud" Bass

Funeral Services for Leroy “Bud” Bass will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Faithway Baptist Church. Mr. Bass passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his residence. Reverend Brent Robbins, Reverend Everette Broom and Reverend Joe Lott will officiate.   Interment will be in Greens Creek Cemetery in Carson. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be; Carroll Broome, Tony Broome, Charlie Broom, Mark Broome, Sammy Broom and Aubrey Burge. Franklin Leroy Bass was born February 14, 1930 in Jefferson Davis County, MS to Edward Oliver Bass and Zelma Dyess Bass.  He was married to Mary Nell Bass. He worked as a carpenter in the construction industry and also as a farmer. He was a Member and Deacon of Faithway Baptist Church. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his mother and father; one daughter, Margie Nell Bass Raynes and one brother L.B. Bass. He is survived by; his wife, Mary Nell Bass of Carson; Two sons, Travis Bass (Alicia) and Craig Bass (Terri) both of Carson; Four Grandchildren, Chrystal Smith, Hollie Clancy, Shovan Raynes and Constance Bass; Nine Great grandchildren; Two sisters, Christine Dyess of Prentiss and Lucille Dyess of Carson; Two brothers, Charlie Bass of Bassfield and Hubert Bass of Jayess. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Saulters Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation Friday May 18, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Faithway Baptist Church before the service.
