Larry Neil Blackmon

Larry Neil Blackmon, retired Navy (MCPO), passed away late Tuesday night, January 3, 2023, at the Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS. Mr Blackmon was 84 years of age. Larry Neil Blackmon was born on November 3, 1938 in Jefferson Davis County to Clyde and Lillie Raybon Blackmon. He was retired from the United States Navy (MCPO). Mr. Blackmon enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors; his family relates that one of his favorite past times was hand feeding a multitude of deer in his backyard. He was a member of Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss. Mr. Blackmon was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. He is survived by his son, Brian Blackmon (Beverly) of Hattiesburg, MS; his daughter, Betsy Burrow (Rod) of Petal, MS; 2 step-daughters, Terri Raybon Joiner (Tim) of Benton, MS, Dawn Raybon Woods of Cleveland, MS and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
