Lantz Emmett Harvey

Funeral services for Mr. Lantz Harvey will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, July, 24, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Collins, MS. Interment will follow in the Collins City Cemetery. Doctor Joseph Bird and Reverend Shane Hoes will officiate. Mr. Harvey, age 59, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his home in New Orleans, LA. Lantz Emmett Harvey was born on August 14, 1962 in Collins, MS to Emmett and Jean Daughtrey Harvey. Mr. Harvey was raised in Collins, MS, but moved to New Orleans, LA after graduating college. After moving to New Orleans, he entered into the banking industry; retiring as the Vice-President of Commercial Lending with Hancock-Whitney Bank. An accomplished organist and pianist, Mr. Harvey served as organist for numerous weddings over the years. In addition, he also served as the organist for Lakeview Presbyterian Church in New Orleans for 25 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Jean Harvey. His memory will forever be cherished by his brother, Dr. Martin Harvey (Lisa) of Collins, MS and 2 nieces, Hannah Beth Harvey and Mary Catherine Harvey, both of Collins, MS. Serving as pallbearers are Noel Rogers, Paul Rogers, Bronson Rogers, Ronnie Harvey, Caleb Lancaster, Kevin Rowell and Brandon Rowell. The family will receive friends Sunday at First Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at 3:00 PM.
