Harold Cody

Graveside funeral services for Harold Cody will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Cliburn Cemetery in Silver Creek. Mr. Cody passed away from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Hattiesburg. Reverend Kelly Dampeer will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Kenneth Harold Cody was born on April 2, 1940 in Shivers to L.D. and Ina Bell Cody. Mr. Cody was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a shipping foreman for the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for 38 years. Mr. Cody also owned Cody’s Carwash in New Hebron and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Cody was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brother Charles Cody. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Cody of Silver Creek; one son, Jimmy Cody (Amanda) of Silver Creek; one daughter, Tisha Newsom (Melvin) of New Hebron; two grandchildren, Corbin Cody and Sophie Newsom; one sister, Carolyn Westmoreland (Gerald) of Shivers as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
