Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Kerley will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. Peters Catholic Hall. Mr. Kerley, age 73, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his residence in Bassfield. Father Chinnappa Raj Mark and Father Tommy Conway will officiate. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be, Ted Applewhite, Corky Kerley, Kevin Kerley, Bobby Hurst, Brian Daley and Ronnie Shivers. Johnny Kerley was born on February 19,1948 in Mississippi to John Lavern “Jack” Kerley and Maxie Barnett Kerley. Mr. Kerley was an outside lumber salesman for Lowes in Hattiesburg for 25 years. He was a Board Member of Rails to Trails, was on the Board of Aldermen for 4 terms and the owner of 4-K Stables. Mr. Kerley was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy and 1 sister, Jackie Shivers. Mr. Kerley is survived by 2 sons, Jonathan Kerley (Angela) of Hattiesburg and Jason Kerley (Jennifer) of Bassfield; 2 grandchildren, Jace and Cooper Kerley; 1 brother, Danny Kerley (Belinda) of Meridian. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5:30 until 9:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Hall. The Rosary will be at 7:00PM.
