A Homegoing Service for Mr. Kent Boleware will be celebrated Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery in Prentiss. Reverend Mike Ewoldt and Brother Robbie Hathorn will officiate. Mr. Boleware departed this life to live eternally with his Lord late Monday evening, December 20, 2021, at the Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living in Ellisville. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Boleware, age 75, was born on March 7, 1946 in Carson, MS to Leonard and Geneva Laird Boleware. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific. Kent was known as one who loved life. Full of humor and never meeting a stranger, its been said that he could 'talk to a doorknob'. He had a great passion for golf and playing tennis. Kent also enjoyed participating in 5K runs...running just for fun-a trait his daughters said that definitely was not passed down to them. Kent loved his God supremely; serving him faithfully at his church, River of Life Church in Hattiesburg. In obedience to 1 Peter 3:15, he was ready always to give a reason for the hope within himself. In addition, Kent also loved Southern Gospel Music, a good cup of coffee and good food. He would be described by his friends as a Christian gentleman who neither showed favoritism nor partiality to anyone; mistreating no one ever. Kent loved his wife and children dearly, but was extra passionate about his grandchildren. Serving as Active Pallbearers are Jerry Puckett, Mitchell Boleware, Mac Boleware, Quinn Easterling, Allan Carter and Stan Jones. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Ken Laird, David Boleware, Wayne Bullock, and the Prentiss High School Class of 1964. Mr. Boleware was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Geneva Boleware; as well as his brothers, Tommy Boleware, Bobby Boleware, Ted Boleware and a sister, Dianne Boleware Watts. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Frances Bullock Boleware of Prentiss; 2 daughters, Cindy Boleware Puckett (Jerry, II) of Prentiss, Tammy Boleware Rayborn of Ellisville and a son, Johnny Kent Boleware, Jr. of Petal; a brother-in-law, Jerry Watts of Columbia and a sister-in-law, Clarette Boleware of Crystal River, FL. Mr. Boleware also leaves behind 3 grandchildren that were precious to him; John Henry Rayborn, Johnna Rayborn and Chloe Boleware, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
