Jimmy McPhail

 A memorial celebration of the life of Jimmy McPhail of Hattiesburg, formerly of Prentiss, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Jeff Davis Lake in Prentiss. The Reverend Jack Andrews will officiate. Mr. McPhail, age 66, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at his home in Hattiesburg. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Jimmy L. McPhail was born on October 5, 1958, in Prentiss to LeRoy and Rita Delancey McPhail. Mr. McPhail had worked in the construction field as a painter for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah McPhail; his son, Jonathan McPhail; his daughter, Memory Ledet; his grandson, Jonathan Ledet; a brother, Jessie McPhail; and two sisters, Dorothy Jean Norris and Patsy Schoenfeld.

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Darrell McPhail of Hattiesburg and Phillip Ledet of Gladewater, TX; daughter Brandy Ledet of Monticello; brother Keith McPhail of New Hebron; and sister Faye Jackson of Monticello. Mr. McPhail also leaves behind 13 grandchildren.
