James Robbins

Graveside services with Military Honors for Mr. James Robbins will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Society Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Robbins, age 89, passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Prentiss. Reverend Mark McArthur will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. James Robbins was born on March 19, 1931, in Jefferson Davis County to James Buford Robbins and Alice Ward Robbins. Mr. Robbins was a retired crane operator for Penrod Drilling Company. He was a former Commander of the Columbia VFW. Mr. Robbins was a veteran of the U. S. Army and Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 2 sisters, Fannie Pearl Robbins and Jean Herrin. Mr. Robbins is survived by 2 sons, James Shawn Robbins of Bogalusa, LA and James Gabrial Robbins (Amanda) of Madison ME; 2 daughters, Shannon Marie Jenkins (George R.) of Franklinton, LA and Maria Manker of Petal; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother, Oscar Robbins (Lou Edith) of Pearl River, LA; 3 sisters, Ruby McAllister of Carson, Kay Fortenberry of Carson and Marie Greenwood of Pearl.
