Graveside services for Mr. Jake Counts will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Old Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Counts, age 33, passed away from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Covington County Hospital in Collins. Reverend Dennis Campbell will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Hamp Counts, Scottie Pierce, Cade Jackson, Wade Jackson and Dylan Wilson. Honorary bearer will be Justin Pierce. Jake Counts was born on April 27, 1987 in Hattiesburg to Herschel Counts and Linda Jordan Counts. Mr. Counts was a contractor in the metal building industry. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Jimmie and Gladys Counts, Carl Jordan and Melvinia Gibson. Mr. Counts is survived by his father and mother, Herschel and Linda Counts of Collins; 1 sister, Savanna Eason (Heath) of Collins; 1 half-brother, Charner Benton (April) of Pinola; 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
