Jackie Eugene Orange was born on May 6, 1951, in Gadsden, Alabama to Melvin and Peggy Lockhart Orange.   A graduate of Gadsden High School, Jack was also a student at Samford University in Birmingham for one year, as well as the University of Alabama for one year.  It was during his enrollment at The University of Alabama that his love affair with all things Crimson Tide began.  Whether it was Alabama Crimson Tide football, basketball or anything sports related to the Tide, he was always offering up his support.  In addition, Jack worked in the insurance business for 46 years, where he was a very successful insurance broker serving clients in Alabama and Mississippi.

Jack loved visiting the beach where he took solace in listening to the waves, taking long walks along the shoreline and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.  He was also passionate about his canine friends and was a supporter of the Joshuas House for Golden Retriever Rescue as well as the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.  Jack was formerly an active member of the Pentecostal Church in Gadsden where he served as a drummer in the church band.  However, his greatest fulfillment came from being a Papa to his grandchildren and expressing his love for his Lord and Savior.

Mr. Orange is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike Orange.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 7 years, Karen Easterling Orange of Mt. Olive; step-sons, Brian Cook and Kevin McArrell, both of Chelsea, AL, Kerry Easterling (Brittany) of Mt. Olive and Kaleb Easterling of Prentiss; one sister, Cheryl Mims of Clanton, AL and two grandchildren, Peyton Easterling and River Easterling as well as a grandchild expected in March of 2025.
