Harold D White

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Dean White, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 Monday, February 12, 2024, at New Hebron Baptist Church with the Reverend Will McNeese officiating.  Private interment will follow in the Cliburn Cemetery.  Mr. White, age 89, entered the eternal rest of his Lord late Friday night, February 9, 2024, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service, beginning at 10:00 AM at New Hebron Baptist Church.

Harold Dean White, Sr. was born on May 16, 1934, in Lawrence County, MS to William Elery and Eunice Drummonds White.  Mr. White was raised in the Crooked Creek community and worked for many years in the housekeeping department of the Lawrence County Hospital. His family remarks that he loved to raise a garden and especially enjoyed a good meal of fried catfish, complete with a glass of iced sweet tea.  Mr. White was a member of the New Hebron Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. White is preceded in death by his son, Harold Dean White, Jr.; his brothers, Cliff White, Lloyd White and his sisters, Minnie Dixon and Hilda Stewart.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Ida Sue White; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
