George "Myron" Lee

George Myron Lee, age, 88 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 after a life full of laughter and love.  He was born April 29, 1929. Myron graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1952.  In 1958, Myron opened Lee’s Drugstore in New Hebron, Mississippi where he would spend the next forty-nine years serving his beloved community as a Pharmacist.  He was a dedicated member of New Hebron Baptist Church where he served in many areas including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and interim Music Director.  He was very active in many civic duties including Alderman, School Board Member, Bank Board Member, Hospital Board Member, and numerous other areas.  Myron also enjoyed being involved in the Masonic Lodge where he served in many roles including District Deputy Grand Lecturer of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi as well as Master of his local chapter, New Hebron Lodge #508.    Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Myrtis Lee, brother, Charles Everett Lee, and son, Paul Wayne Lee.  He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dot, brother, James (Shirley), Sister in-law, Mildred, children, David (Jane), Mark (Holly), Greg (Pam), Mitchell (Angie), and Michael (Amy), thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Saulters-Moore Funeral Services in Prentiss, Mississippi.  The visitation will be held at the New Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron, Mississippi on Friday, April 20th from 5:30pm until 8:00pm.  There will be another visitation on Saturday, April 21st at 9:30am prior to the funeral at 11:00am.  The funeral service will be held at New Hebron Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service at Whitesand Baptist Church cemetery.  Myron’s nine grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers:  Zach Lee, Adam Lee, Nick Lee, Ethan Lee, Haegan Lee, Jarrod Lee, Barrett Lee, Grayson Lee.  Honorary Pallbearer, Cameron Lee.
