Funeral services for Elder Freddy Mills, Sr. will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Faithway Baptist Church. Elder Mills, age 70, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Marion General Hospital. Elder Dewitt Baines, Elder Brent Robbins and Elder David Moree will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Christian James Giveans, Walker Mills, Dennis Robbins, Ronnie Williamson, Jason Matheny, Trent Williamson, Clay Williamson and Richard Sullivan. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Freddy Mills, Sr. was born on December 19, 1949 in Laurel, MS to Lawrence Ray Mills and Edith Mae Holifield Mills. Elder Mills attended PRCC. He owned Mills Body Shop and was a faithful preacher since 1985. His church affiliations include, Faithway Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist in Kosciusko, French Road Baptist in Indianola, Southgate Baptist in Monticello, Grace Baptist in Columbia and Cooley Springs Baptist in Mt. Olive. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Elder Mills, Sr. is survived by his wife of 50 years, Emma Moree Mills of Bassfield; two sons, Freddy L. Mills Jr. (Angele) of Ocean Springs and Bro. John Mills (Michelle) of Lucedale. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be Friday May 15, 2020 from 5:30pm until 8:30 pm at Faithway Baptist Church. There will be another visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service time at Faithway Baptist Church.
