Graveside services for Mrs. Eva Lois Branton, age 92, will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday morning, May 19, 2022 at Bourne Cemetery. Reverend Earl Clark will officiate. Mrs. Branton passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at Magnolia Assisted Living in Sumrall, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Branton was born October 21, 1929 in Mississippi to Oscar and Elizabeth E. Broom Bennett. She was married to Paul Branton for 50 years (deceased in 2000). She was a wife and a homemaker and her favorite pastime was tending her gardens. She was a Christian and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved to hear and talk about God. Her favorite passage was from the book “Mustering Courage” by Lynn Coleman; “The End Time Came: Come Home Eva”, “Eva felt her last breath leave her. Her Mind Cleared. It had been ages since she could think straight. She could see the brightness of God’s throne as she felt herself float toward heaven. I am going home and the glory that awaits me. Come Eva, welcome home.” She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Branton; 2 sons, John Paul Branton and Victor Branton;5 brothers and 4 sisters. Mrs. Branton is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Smith (Ron) of Acworth, GA; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Houston, Blair, Adam, Michelle and 5 great-grandchildren.
