Elizabeth Janice Geiger was born on January 14, 1941 in Lawrence County, MS to Harold and Tommie Jackson Ward. Janice was raised in Columbia, MS and married her sweetheart, Glenn, in 1961. Together, the happy couple would spend over 60 years making memories that have lasted a lifetime. After their marriage, Glenn and Janice moved to Lake Charles then to Shreveport as Glenn followed his career with Evans Products in the building supply business. Eventually settling back in Mississippi, Mrs. Geiger spent her remaining years as a homemaker and a devoted wife to her husband. Not only did she enjoy raising a garden and working in her flowers, but she also was an animal lover. Always having cats and dogs as pets, she also raised chickens. Her family warmly recalls how Janice would ride her bicycle, along with other family members, and a particular pet Guinea would ride on the handle bars of her bike. Mrs. Geiger was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.

Mrs. Geiger is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Tommie Ward and her brothers-in-law, Olin C Geiger, Travis Geiger and Craig Geiger.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her beloved husband of 60 years, Glenn Geiger; her sisters-in-law, Doris Geiger, Sandra Geiger and Montez Scarborough. Mrs. Geiger also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews whom loved her very much.
