Donald O. Graves was born on February 2, 1952 in Covington County, Mississippi to Obin Lafayette and Allie Morea Graves. Mr. Graves was a Sander Operator with Georgia Pacific, retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. His family relates that he especially liked to fish in the brackish waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It was during these outings that he, along with 3 of his cousins, made me happy memories. Mr. Graves also loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Criddle.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 55 years, Karen Gatwood Graves of Carson; 4 sons, Garen (Connie) Graves of Bon Aqua, TN, Nicko Graves of Carson, Aaron (Adaira) Graves and Caleb (Whitney) Graves, both of Prentiss; 3 sisters, Barbara Blackwell, Joyce Blackwell, both of Taylorsville and Evelyn Lyons of Florida.
