Denise Easterling

Graveside services for Mrs. Denise Easterling will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, at Providence Cemetery in Ruth, MS. Mrs. Easterling, age 60, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord late Saturday night, December 14, 2024, at the Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday morning, one hour before the graveside service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church.

Denise will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Toby Sartain, Skylar Magee, Erik Russell, Mason Graham, Derrick Prestridge, and Daniel Roberts. Honorary pallbearers include David McCollum, Nicholas McCollum, Jae Daniels, Cory Daughtry, and Larry Easterling.

Margaretta Denise Easterling was born on October 27, 1964, in Jackson, Mississippi to Wilky and Jewel Christine Buffington Morrow. Described by those close to her as the glue that held her family together, Denise had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed and valued. She possessed a magnetic personality, resulting in a multitude of friends who loved her dearly. With a smile and warmth that could light up a room, she never met a stranger.

An excellent cook, Denise will be fondly remembered for her delicious Indian Tacos and meatloaf, which have become staples at family gatherings. In addition to her culinary talents, she was a skilled cake decorator, creating stunning works of art.

Denise was also a multi-talented artist, leaving her mark as a musician, songwriter, and singer, with the honor of being a Nashville recording artist. Her passion for music was matched only by her gifts as a seamstress and hairdresser, making her the go-to person for weddings and other celebrations. Denise ensured that every detail was attended to, allowing love and happiness to shine through every event she touched.

Denise’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her husband, whom she lovingly called “Honey.” Together, they embarked on one of their proudest accomplishments: the acquisition of Denise's mother's home. This house became a labor of love for them, as they spent countless hours remodeling and infusing it with their heart and soul, creating a warm and welcoming space for their family.  Mrs. Easterling was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of over 30 years, Ronnie Easterling; daughters, Chrissy Sartain (Toby) of Braxton, Tootie McCollum of Ruth, Jamie Stovall of Collins, Bella Easterling of Jayess; brothers, Devon Morrow of Jayess, Kevin Morrow of Magee, Justin Morrow of Magee, and Jimmy Craft of Olive Branch; sister-in-law, Brenda Easterling Craft of Mendenhall. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jae, Chae, Hailey, Aliyah, Erik, David, Nicholas, Adriana, Reniyah, and AJ, and 3 great-grandchildren.
