Daniel A. "Tony" Daley

Graveside services for Mr. Daniel A. "Tony" Daley will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday morning, February 10, 2023 at St. James Cemetery in Bassfield. Father Thomasz Golab will officiate. Mr. Daley, age 87, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord early Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Daniel A. Daley was born on July 10, 1935 in Carson, MS to Claude A. and Annie Robbins Daley. After graduating from Carson High School, Mr. Daley enrolled in the Hinds Jr. College. Afterward, he honorably served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. After leaving the military, Mr. Daley began his career in the television repair business, working in Jackson and then back home in Jefferson Davis County. However, "Tony", as he was better known, will be remembered for operating his business, Tony's Package Store, in Bassfield for many years. Tony was a devout Catholic and a very active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Bassfield. Mr. Daley was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Annie Daley, 2 brothers, Kenneth and Kelton Daley, both of Carson; 3 sisters, Collette Daley and Patsy McNease, both of Bassfield and Mary Waltman of Pass Christian. His memory will forever be cherished by his 2 remaining sisters, Johnie Johnson of Collins and Katherine Barrett of Carson. Mr. Daley also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
