Cynthia Joyce Watkins

Graveside services for Cynthia Joyce Watkins of Browns Mills, NJ, formerly of Carson, MS, will be conducted at 2:00 PM. Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2023, at the Prentiss Cemetery with Brother Lyn Holloway officiating. Her daughter, Jessica, will offer the eulogy.  Mrs. Watkins, age 58, passed away at the Samaritan Center in Mt. Holly, NJ.

Serving as Pallbearers are Zac Honea, Robert Buckley, Chase Davis, Delton Lawrence and Kenny Martin.

 
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, April 30, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home, with a funeral procession departing at the conclusion of the visitation.

Cynthia Joyce Watkins was born on August 2, 1964 in Prentiss, MS to Cecil and Brenda Martin Gamble.  A graduate of Prentiss High School, Cindy chose the field of medical care and earned her degree in Registered Nursing from Pearl River Community College.  For the largest part of her career, she served as a travel nurse over the Southwestern region of the United States, specializing in critical care.  On Memorial Day, 1990, Cindy met the love of her life, Joe, and they spent many happy years together.  Cindy adored her family and received a great deal of joy getting everyone together as often as she could. These special times will be remembered for the love and laughter shared among each one, as well as the great meals Cindy prepared, especially her creole dishes.  Her family remarks that as much as she loved her 3 girls, she was overjoyed with the addition of her 3 grandsons and that she was proud to be a "Nana".  She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.  Cindy was of the Baptist faith.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Brenda Gamble.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her 3 daughters, Laura Davis of New Jersey, Jessica Honea (Zac) of Carson, JoAnna Watkins of Browns Mills, NJ; her step-son, Justin Watkins (Aaron) of Lebanon Lake, NJ and her brother, Tony Gamble (Rhonda) of Hattiesburg.  The legacy of their Nana will also live on through her 3 grandchildren; Robert Buckley, Davis Honea, Dax Honea and 4 step-grandchildren; Justin Wozniak, Jr., Karra Wozniak, Jake Wozniak and Kamryn Wozniak.
