Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Kay Deen will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Goodhope Methodist Church. Mrs. Deen, age 84, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Reverend Glenn Shows and Reverend Bobby Brewer will officiate and interment will be in the Deen Cemetery. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be, Greg Megehee, Logan Dearman, Matthew Ellis, Ricky Bullock, Fredrick Worthy and Neal Speights. Clara Kay Deen was born on March 1, 1935 in Carson, MS to Cleatus Earl Worthy, Sr. and Reyda King Worthy. Mrs. Deen was a Homemaker. She previously worked for the parachute manufacturing company and drove a school bus. She was a member of Goodhope Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband , Charles Allen Deen; 1 brother, Richard Worthy and 3 sisters, Sue Phillips, Willie Speights and Frances Speirs. Mrs. Deen is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie (David) Dearman of Bassfield and Kathy Dunn of Bassfield; 5 grandchildren, Lashea Ellis, Todd Allen Dunn, Greg Megehee, Colby Dearman and Logan Dearman; 7 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Breleigh, Addison, Brooks, Wesley, Preston and Brantley; 2 brothers, Earl Worthy, Jr. of Prentiss and Paul Worthy of Kissimmee St. Cloud, FL; 2 sisters, Nancy Weir of Metairie, LA and Mavis Bagley of Collins. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Goodhope Methodist Church.
