Graveside services for Mrs. Christine Dyess will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2024, at Greens Creek Cemetery with the Reverend Jack Andrews officiating. Mrs. Dyess, age 95, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord Monday morning, January 22, 2024, at her home in Carson. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Family and friends will gather at Greens Creek Cemetery at 11:00 AM for the service.
Serving as Pallbearers are Van Wilson, Allen Dyess, Brandon Smith, Jacob Polk, Matthew Dyess and David Wilson.
Christine Dyess was born on December 23, 1928 in Jefferson Davis County to Oliver and Zelma Dyess Bass. Mrs. Dyess raised her children on their old homeplace in the Carson community and worked very hard to provide them the very best life possible. One of her favorite hobbies was to embroider and her children and grandchildren hold some of her beautiful pillowcases as dear treasures. Her family also remarks that Mrs. Dyess loved to walk everywhere she went whether to the grocery store or just out pushing her grandchildren in a stroller. She was a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dyess is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Leon Dyess.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Virginia Dyess of Prentiss, Charlene McPhail (Thomas) of Prentiss, Peggy Wilson of Carson; her sons, Gayloyd Dyess of Carson, Thomas Dyess of Carson, John Dyess (Donna) of Kokomo; a brother, Hubert Bass of Utica; a sister, Lucille Dyess of Carson; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
