Funeral services for Mr. Charles T. Lee will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday morning, June 24, 2023, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home with interment following in the Santee Cemetery.  The Reverend David Brewer will officiate.  Mr. Lee, age 89, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his home in Bassfield.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Charles T. Lee was born on September 16, 1933 in Carroll County, Mississippi to Samuel and Esther Lee.  Mr. Lee was an automobile mechanic as well as an auto body man and worked for several new car dealers in the Jackson area, including Grey-Daniels Ford and Blackwell Chevrolet.  In addition, he also served as a dispatcher for the Morton Police Department and an officer for the Pelahatchie Police Department and the Scott and Hinds County Sheriff’s Departments.  Mr. Lee enjoyed several past times which included hunting and fishing on the Big Black River with his sons when they were growing up.  He was a Baptist but had been attending the Hope Outreach Congregational Holiness Church in Mount Olive.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Esther Lee; his wife, Evelyn Lee; infant son, Raymond Andrew Lee and his brothers, Samuel Lee, Willie Lee and James Lee.

He is survived by his sons, Charles D. Lee, Travis D. Lee, David L. Lee, Thomas R. Lee; daughters, Cynthia Tisdale (Thomas) of West Point, Amy Lee Langley of Brandon and sisters, Gladys McCoy and Grace Lee.  Mr. Lee also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
