Mr. Wigington, age 85, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord late Monday night, April 25, 2022, at the Magee General Hospital. Mr. Carroll Otis Wigington was born October 10, 1936, in Jefferson Davis County, MS to Hubert and Ruby Roberson Wigington. Mr. Wigington graduated from Clem High School. Soon after, he married the love of his life, Martha, whom he lovingly referred to as simply "Mama". Carroll and "Mama" enjoyed 65 happy years of marriage, during which he set an example of how to love and cherish one's wife. To this union was born 2 sons along with the addition of 2 daughters-in-law and the births of a house full of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During their retirement years, Carroll and "Mama" enjoyed traveling in their beloved Pleasure Way Van up and down the east and west coast. The highlight of these trips was meeting up with their "camper buddies" where many enjoyable hours were spent pickin' and grinnin' with old friends. Whether their travels found them in the Smokey Mountains that he loved so much or elswehere in the United States, people were drawn to Carroll and he never met a stranger. His family will hold close the many happy memories of Carroll and his humor, wit and how he always made people laugh. He loved his Lord and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Serving as Pallbearers are Joshua Wigington, Kyle Wigington, Bryan Wigington, Will Davis, Chris Maul and Kai Wigington. Honorary Pallbearers include Steven Wigington and Conner Wigington. Carroll's memory will forever be cherished by the love of his life for 65 years, Martha of Prentiss; 2 sons, David Carroll Wigington (Becky) of Mt. Olive, Reverend Darren Wigington (Rhonda) of Townsend, TN and 1 brother, Charles Wigington of Heflin, AL. The legacy of their "Baboo" will live on through his grandchildren, Joshua Wigington (Vanessa), Jenny Maul (Chris), Kyle Wigington (Katie), Bryan Wigington (Kezia), Hanna Davis (Will) and also 13 great-grandchildren.
