Mr. Carol Butler was born on June 25, 1950 in Lawrence County, MS to Robert Ledrew and Lula Mae Yates Butler. Mr. Butler graduated from New Hebron High School and would go on to marry the beautiful Marylen Letchworth. Together, they built a beautiful life; complete with 2 sons, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through the years, many happy memories were made; of which now, will be stored as treasures in the hearts of each one that loved him.
Carol spent most of his life as a carpenter; helping build many of the Jim Walter Homes, as well as others, in the area, with his specialty being in cabinetry. In addition, he also enjoyed livestock; buying and selling cattle, as well as raising calves. However, one of the things Carol enjoyed most, according to his sons, was being a "wheeler and dealer". Carol had a talent for "dickering" and loved to not only find a bargain; but also, sell for a profit. He attended New Life Church in Monticello and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marylen, who passed away September 5, 2021.
His memory will forever be cherished by his sons, Tim and his wife Lynn of Bogue Chitto, Kevin and his wife Jolynn of Brookhaven; 3 sisters, Carolyn Osborn, Betty Lou Davis and Nancy Colums, all of Brandon; and his brother, Robert Lewis Butler of Wanilla. The legacy of their PawPaw will also live on through his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
