Bobbie B. Gardner, was born on June 1, 1928 in Prentiss, Mississippi to Robert L. and Ida Fortenberry Berry.
A graduate of Prentiss High School, her career spanned several industries, beginning as a telephone operator for the local telephone company.
Later on, Bobbie worked in the garment factories in Bassfield, as well as the Hoover Furniture Company in Prentiss.  However, friends will best remember that she worked for many years as an Assistant to Dr. Leggett at his office in Bassfield, showcasing her commitment to healthcare and ensuring the well-being of others.

Mrs. Gardner was known for her warm and caring personality, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.  Every Sunday, without fail, loved ones gathered at her house for a heartwarming dinner. Her biscuits were unforgettable and her fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, and red velvet cake were simply unparalleled.  She especially looked forward to all her family gathering in for Thanksgiving and Christmas where laughter was in great supply and love was abundant. Bobbie's talent in the kitchen was surpassed only by her generous spirit, as she poured love into every meal she created.

Bobbie's grandchildren were particularly blessed to have had this precious lady as their Mawmaw. Gathered around her in those moments, which are now treasures locked away in a memory vault, she would read Bible stories with affectionate tenderness, transporting young minds into enchanted worlds where miracles happened. Her songs, sung softly and sweetly like lullabies, brought comfort and joy to her beloved grandchildren, embraced by her unconditional love.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gardner; her daughter, Wanda Gardner; her son, Reverend Randy Gardner; granddaughter, Kelly Gardner Williamson and her siblings, Alvin Berry, W.J. Berry and Ida Mae Magee.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Doris Gardner Viniard; her daughter-in-law, Carmen Gardner; 2 grandsons, Craig Viniard, Chad (Sarah) Viniard; her great grandchildren, Emily Williamson, Jenna (Keegan) Pickering, Jadyn Viniard, Eli Viniard and Vann Price.  Mrs. Gardner is also survived by her great-great grandson, Soren Luke Pickering.
