Born on January 26, 1942, to Charleston and Tina Cliburn Dampeer, Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Silver Creek and graduated from New Hebron High School where she played basketball and also William Carey University.  After marrying her late husband, Harold, the couple moved to Jackson, where Bobbie initially served as a secretary for the Mississippi Highway Patrol.  However, it was upon their return to Silver Creek, following the birth of their son, Jimmy, that Bobbie truly found her calling as a fulltime homemaker.  Her devoted commitment to her family was evident as she created a loving and nurturing home for her husband and children.

Bobbie's greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, actively participating in their lives and supporting them in their endeavors. Among her treasured memories are the times she attended countless USM football games to cheer on her grandson, Corbin, as he marched in the Pride of Mississippi .  She also found immense joy watching her granddaughter, Sophie, as she performed on the cheerleading squad at Prentiss Christian ballgames. These moments encapsulated Bobbie's unwavering love and deep involvement in her family's pursuits.  In addition, Bobbie also absolutley loved her Chihuahua, "Roscoe", who became her faithful companion after Harold passed away.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Bobbie had a radiant personality characterized by her love for shopping and fashion. She took great pride in her appearance, always ensuring she was stylishly dressed, with a keen affection for jewelry, hair, and cosmetics. Bobbie's zest for life and her commitment to looking her best were remarkable aspects of her vibrant character.  She was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Cody and her brother, Charles Ray Dampeer.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Tisha Newsom (Melvin) of New Hebron; her son, Jimmy Cody (Amanda) of Hattiesburg; 1 brother, Kelly Dampeer (Linda) of Roanoke, VA and her life long friend, affectionately referred to by Bobbie’s children as ‘Aunt’ Paulette Foster of Silver Creek. The legacy of their Nee Nee will also live on through the grandchildren she adored, Corbin Cody and Sophie Newsom.
