Alberta Dyess

Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta B. Dyess will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Dyess, age 87, passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her residence in Slidell, LA. Reverend Jim Roberson will officiate. Interment will follow in Victory Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Alberta B. Dyess was born on September 2, 1933 in Prentiss to Luther Bullock and Maxie Hathorn Bullock. Mrs. Dyess enjoyed working in her flower garden and watching her humming birds buzz around the feeders. Known as an excellent cook, she will be remembered for her Fried Pies, Peach Cobbler and Blueberry Delight. In addition, she enjoyed crocheting and took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dyess was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bassfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, R. J. Dyess. Mrs. Dyess is survived by 2 daughters, Dianne Crumby (Dwain) of Slidell, LA; Jan Hatton (Tommy) of Carson; She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Kim Abney, Tina St. Clair, Kristi Moody and Brandi Jackson and 4 great-grandchildren, Jonathon McCloud, Morgan Abney, Kennedy McCloud and Bailey Abney.
