Mingnonne Stephens

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 28, 2010 for Mrs. Mingnonne Stephens, age 76, of Prentiss, MS who passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Broom and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Sonny Langston, Jackie Bass, Phillip Herrin, Les Dungan, John Perrin, David Miller and Larry Don Spiers. Mingnonne Stephens was born March 1, 1934 in Jefferson Davis County, MS to John Henry Deavers and Dola Cox Deavers. She was the manager of The Triangle Restaurant in Prentiss for 30 years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mrs. Stephens is survived by one daughter, Rita Myers of Prentiss, MS; one son, Ricky Stephens of Columbia, MS; one sister, Louise Bass of Magee, MS; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
