James Lewis McLendon

Funeral services were held Friday, November 26, 2010 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for James Lewis McLendon, Sr., age 73, of Edwards, MS who passed away November 22, 2010 at his residence in Edwards. Rev. Ken Hickman and Rev. Jack Andrews officiated. Interment followed in Carson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Lee McLendon, Ronnie McLendon, Chris McLendon, Robert McLendon, B.J. McLendon, Timothy McLendon, James McLendon and Mike McLendon. Mr. McLendon was born July 20, 1937 to James H. McLendon and Gladys Watts McLendon. He was a carpenter and a truck driver. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by two sons, Robert McLendon and Ronnie McLendon both of Prentiss, MS; one daughter, Debra Mixon of Prentiss, MS; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sons and one sister.
